PUBLISHED COMMUNITY SERVICE

Bristol Samaritans

A public listing from the Well Aware directory. Check the provider’s website for current availability and access arrangements.

Published service description

Bristol Samaritans is focussed on being diverse and inclusive, and welcomes new volunteers and callers from all backgrounds.

We provide talks for community groups, schools and other organisations interested in our work. We have partnerships with a number of local organisations, including local health services, HM Prison Bristol and HM Prison Eastwood Park.

A big focus for Bristol Samaritans is being there for callers when they need us most. This means that in addition to responding to contacts from inside the branch, we are reaching out to at risk groups in our local community, making sure they know we're there for them and know how to get access to our support in times of need.

We are very proud of our committed volunteers. Whether they are providing support to callers or working behind the scenes, they are making a positive impact to the community around the clock.
