Published service description
Jimi Katsis is a Bristol-based psychotherapist (MBACP) offering trauma-informed psychotherapy online (fees apply) for adults in Bristol and across the UK.
Many people I work with are high-functioning on the outside, but feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in repeating relationship patterns underneath. Often, these struggles link to the long tail of childhood trauma and emotional neglect, relational trauma (where the harm happened in relationships over time), or vicarious trauma from caring roles and people-facing work.
Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to feel safe and manageable. We start by stabilising and building emotional safety, then make sense of triggers and patterns (including shame, self-criticism, attachment, boundaries, and the nervous system’s stress responses). Alongside depth work, we’ll use practical tools you can take into daily life. Depending on what you need, this may include relational/attachment-informed therapy and evidence-based approaches such as DBT-, ACT- and CBT-informed skills (e.g., grounding, emotional regulation, working with difficult thoughts, and building steadier boundaries).
People come to see me for support with anxiety, low mood, complex trauma/CPTSD, self-esteem, burnout, and relationship difficulties. If you’re thinking about therapy but unsure where to begin, you’re welcome to get in touch via my website to arrange an initial chat and ask questions — with no pressure to go into painful detail straight away.
