Published service description
Freedom is OTR’s LGBTQIA+ youth programme, providing a safe, joyful and supportive space for young people aged 11-25 who are LGBTQIA+ or exploring their gender and sexuality. Freedom is a friendly, welcoming and relaxed space that helps young people be themselves, find friends and get the support they need. Freedom sessions are full of fun ways to express ourselves and learn new things. All of our Freedom sessions and groups are supported by our friendly team of LGBTQ+ youth workers.
LGBTQIA+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Questioning or Queer, Intersex, and Asexual. The ‘+’ includes other diverse gender and/or sexuality identities such as demigender, non-binary, pan-sexual, Two-Spirit, and others. Freedom is open to anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+, or anyone who is questioning or exploring their gender or sexuality.
Freedom supports LGBTQIA+ young people ages 11-25 (and their parents and carers) in Bristol, North Somerset, and South Glos. If you live outside of this area, or are over 25, unfortunately we won’t be able to support you.
If you’re from outside our area, you might want to check out Switchboard.
