Confirm coverage and care needs
Check the agency’s registered services and specialisms, then ask whether it can cover your address, required visit times and assessed needs. Registration does not confirm staffing availability for a particular care package.
Ask about everyday arrangements
Discuss how the care plan will be agreed and reviewed, and who to contact if a visit is delayed or a need changes.
- How is continuity of carers arranged?
- What happens when a regular care worker is unavailable?
- How are visit times, travel charges and minimum visit lengths handled?
- What is included in the written quotation?
- How can a person or family raise concerns?
Use inspection evidence with its date
Read the location’s rating and inspection report alongside current information from the agency. A historic rating is not a guarantee about a future care arrangement.
